Akshay Sharma is a research director in the Carrier Network Infrastructure group of Gartner Research, leading the Research Agenda for Converged Infrastructure Worldwide. Current research interests include mobile infrastructure (radio and core), mobile broadband, cloud-based Telco 2.0 initiatives, WiMAX/Wi-Fi, PacketCable, VoIP, IMS, FMC, and trends in core network distributed softswitch architectures.
