Workshop: Where To Draw The Line? The Monetary Panorama

Sponsored by The Launch Pad and SCORE

The bottom line is not necessarily the…bottom line! Understanding small business success must concurrently focus on two areas: Financial Health and Financial Performance. Financial Health - reflecting on the culture of the business, its strategic positioning and thinking by providing an insight as to the nature of characters and personalities of its leadership. Financial Performance - assessing past performances utilizing financial rations and the industry’s benchmark data.

Establishing a strong financial foundation must include a cultural component. The emphasis on the longevity of the business through the ability to control its financial resources is an important element in the success of the venture. Efficient and effective control over the financial resources is a vital element in improving profit margins.
