StartUP FIU Speaker Series: Intellectual Property and Protecting Your Ideas

Interested in learning how and when to protect your startup and ideas? StartUP FIU and Carlton Fields invite you to join us for our (reschduled) Speaker Series led by litigator Zackary Ludens on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 6 p.m. Carlton Fields serves business clients in key industries across the country and around the globe. Through their core practices, they help their clients grow their businesses and protect their vital interests.
Zackary Ludens’ practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Mr. Ludens works with clients in diverse industries, but has particular interest in the finance, insurance, intellectual property, and technology sectors. He frequently writes and speaks on a variety of topics, including cutting-edge legal issues, such as those arising from data breaches, the use of drones, and the development of driverless cars. Additionally, Mr. Ludens is committed to civic engagement. He serves as a Young Leader with the United Way, is a member of the United Way LINC Executive Committee, and is on the Education and Technology Committees of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.

Our seminar series is open to students, faculty/staff, alumni and community members who are interested in learning about startups and entrepreneurship. It is also an excellent opportunity for early-stage startups to familiarize themselves with StartUP FIU before applying.
