EdTech Innovators & Their Leadership Journeys

Join us for an evening where we celebrate the leadership journeys of two Miami natives that have gone on to be innovators in the education technology field. Learn about their trials and triumphs and the challenges of building solutions for students, teachers, schools and families. These entrepreneurs are blazing a new trail and serve as incredible role models as female founders in tech.

Logan Cohen
Logan is a co-founder and Co-CEO of KÜDZOO, the app that rewards students based on their academic achievements. KÜDZOO serves as a resource for schools to increase student engagement and connects brands with Generation Z through a collaborative, educational lens. After KÜDZOO’s first school year on the national market, over 500,000 students signed up, 280,000 report cards were submitted, 46,000 schools registered and over 18,000,000 trivia questions answered. Logan’s leadership responsibilities include guiding the vision, strategy and ensuring the execution of value creating milestones for KÜDZOO.
She received dual degrees in Finance and International Business from Florida International University, Class of 2012. While at FIU she was RHA President and Pledge Educator of Delta Sigma Pi, the International Co-ed Business Fraternity.
Logan was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in education for the class of 2016, Magic Johnson’s 32 under 32 and CIO’s Top 20 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch in 2017.
Maxeme Tuchman
Maxeme Tuchman is the CEO and Co-Founder of Caribu Inc.(Caribu.co), an education technology company that help parents, extended family, and mentors read and draw with children when they’re not in the same location. Maxeme was most recently appointed by President Obama to serve as a White House Fellow at the U.S. Department of the Treasury where she served as a senior policy advisor and worked on issues of financial inclusion.
Max served as the Executive Director of Teach For America Miami-Dade and was responsible for overseeing daily regional operations for 26 staff members and cultivating over $15M of private and public support in service of over 500 teachers and alumni. Prior to that, she served in Mayor Bloomberg’s bullpen where she co-created the NYC Civic Corps and managed The NYC Waterfalls art installation which brought $69M of economic impact to the city. Her commitment to educational equity began as a Teach For America corps member, teaching 480 high school students in inner-city Miami, and has led to working on educational innovation projects with organizations such as the Harlem Children’s Zone, DC Public Schools, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
She is a graduate of the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs and the Miami Fellows Leadership Program, and a current Trustee of the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora. Maxeme received her B.A. from New College of Florida and holds an M.P.P. from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
