High Tech Surgery: A Deep Dive Expert Forum on Medical Robotics

Join Health Innovators and an expert panel of Healthcare Robotics specialists as we discuss surgical robotics, and how they are shaping the future of medicine!
Our first panelist is one of the world’s most experienced robotic surgeons for urologic oncology, Dipen J. Parekh, M.D.. 
A Gold Cystoscope winner, Dr. Parekh is Professor and Chair of the Department of Urology, the Director of Robotic Surgery, and The Victor A Politano Endowed Chair in Urology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Dr. Parekh is an expert in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of all urologic malignancies, and is the principal investigator of the only National Cancer Institute-sponsored clinical trial comparing the traditional open and robotic surgery approaches for any organ site.
Our next speaker is the Managing Director of Equity Research focusing on healthcare equipment and medical technology segments at Ladenburg Thalmann & Company Inc., Jeffrey S. Cohen.
Jeffrey Cohen has over 20 years of professional experience involved in the worldwide financial markets including such companies as Cantor Fitzgerald, the American Stock Exchange (NYSE Euronext), Sanwa Bank and Ladenburg Thalmann. For the past 15 years, Mr. Cohen has been actively involved in direct research, analysis and marketing pertaining to the large and growing $2.7 trillion US healthcare sector, including detailed fundamental and financial analysis specific to the development, marketing, delivery and commercialization of medical technologies, therapeutics, and various other healthcare solutions. During the past 8 years, Mr. Cohen has developed, published and presented detailed fundamental analytical reports and financial models for more than 40 publicly traded and privately held medical technology, healthcare service and biotechnology companies with over $15 billion in aggregate market capitalization. Mr. Cohen received a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Miami.
We will also be joined by the CEO and Co-founder of Neocis, a robotic guidance system for dental implants, Alon Mozes, PhD.
Dr. Mozes has been working in computer graphics and image-guided applications in start-up companies for more than 15 years. Most recently, he co-founded Neocis, a start-up company focused on robotics and healthcare in the dental market. Prior to Neocis, he was a principal engineer and one of the first 20 employees at MAKO Surgical Corp., where he helped develop the software for their ground-breaking Rio system for orthopedic robotic surgery. He also developed Emmy award-winning technology with Sportvision, Inc. in the area of real-time sports broadcast graphics. Dr. Mozes received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami and his B.S. and M.Eng. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
