Leo Hernandez Presents: Functional Programming using Javascript

August 1, 2017 @ 6:30 pm

Leo Hernandez will be presenting Functional Programming in Javascript
Over the last several years, Functional Programming (FP) has taken the development world by storm, and JavaScript has been at the vanguard of this revolution. The proliferation of FP based frameworks like React, Ramda, and JsRx, among others, are forcing developers to think functionally instead of simply procedural or object oriented. JavaScript, with its functions as first class citizens, is inherently functional and a great language to explore FP. In this talk, we’ll be looking at why you want to embrace the functional paradigm and into simple patterns to ensure your everyday code is functional.
Leo Hernandez is one of BocaJS’ most asked for past presenters. He is a master of all Javascript and a ReachJS best advocate having presented at the UX Dev Summit and many other conferences including the up-coming Buzzjs.com
