A one day scala worshop for everyone interested on learning about the Scala language and functional programming.
Speakers:
Kevin Meredith who has worked professionally with Scala since late 2013. He’s used Scala mainly for building web applications across the Play, Spray, and Lift frameworks Personally, he likes Haskell, Idris, as well as ZeroMQ.
Nicolas A Perez, Organizer and Software Engineer interested on cluster computing, Apache Spark and the Scala programming language. Former C# / .NET software engineer. MapR Certified Spark Developer. Working with Scala for three years now mostly with Spark, Akka and streaming technologies.
