A young and creative entrepreneur, Marcella McCarthy is the founder of an upcoming app called Skillied. Skillied is designed to create a marketplace where people in the community can list their local classes and workshops for other creatives to try out. With Miami’s diverse and colorful art scene lighting up, Marcella is looking to create a platform where everyone and anyone can learn new things. From sailing, to arts and crafts–you want to learn it, Skillied has got it!

Two out-of-the-box entrepreneurs, Juan Llosas and Mauro Mazolla aim to not only make a living off of their passion, but to take creativity and design to the next level using virtual reality. Their company, LoftVR, aims to not only showcase the amazing things that this new technology has to offer, but to show the full potential of this emerging technology. VR is getting bigger–not only here in Miami, but all over the world. Virtual reality is being used in all different fields including medicine, education, gaming, movies, and even art. Gone are the days of 2D paintings and wooden color palettes, here we take art into the third dimension.

Come get a hands-on experience with the future of art and design using the HTC Vive Virtual reality headset. Thanks to our partners at LoftVR, we will be showcasing a variety of groundbreaking applications made just for VR, one of which is called Tilt Brush by Google. Tilt Brush allows you to paint in 3D space using a wide variety of colors and elements. Unleash your creativity by using stars, lightning, and even fire to make your art pieces unique. “Your room is your canvas. Your palette is your imagination. The possibilities are endless”.
