Why You Should Launch Your NEW Career in UX/UI Design: Film Screening!
February 28, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Apple’s Secret Weapon
We all know Apple, Coca-Cola, and Starbucks as successful billion dollar companies. But what you may not know is that they share something important in common: they are all driven by a focus on great design!
As more and more research has emerged showing that design-driven companies sell more products and have greater customer loyalty, there’s been 1) huge growth in the UX/UI Design industry AND 2) increased demand for UX/UI designers!
But what exactly is UX Design?
UX Design (short for User Experience Design) is the process of creating products that are built around the end-user’s needs. The idea is that if you create a product that solves real pain points and is easy and pleasureable for a customer to use, then he or she will want to use it! Instead of creating a product– like an app– around your own ideas, you build one that your ideal customer will love!
This kind of design process is what makes companies like UBER so successful: they built an app that addresses a real pain point, has an easy-to-use interface, and provides a pleasurable experience for both riders and drivers.
Sound awesome? We think so, too!
